Before you go to bed, dab on a cream with 2.5 percent benzyl peroxide. This low dose is just as effective as but less irritating than 10 percent benzyl peroxide. Then keep your hands off: Untouched zits usually go away in a few days; picked ones can take up to two weeks to heal.
